Recently, you must have heard that Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of some sexual harassment when working with him, right? And sure enough, soon after, she also worked with The New York Times to tell her side of the story publicly.
Well, Baldoni actually didn’t think it was fair, so he went on to sue Blake, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist for defamation. What’s he saying? Oh, as per his claims, these people just plotted to destroy his career and steal control over the movie, and when he pushed back, they used Blake as a tool to defame him publicly.
Justin’s Side of the Story
So far, Justin Baldoni has said that Blake Lively, her husband, and their publicist have made false statements regarding him to the public, which is just to ruin his reputation. As per him, they went to the extent of even teaming up with The New York Times with that interview of Blake Lively, where they tried to make him look like a predator. So yes, right now he is suing for a whopping $400 million.
That’s not it though, he is actually suing The New York Times separately for all this chaos in his life, and that lawsuit alone is demanding $250 million.
Blake’s Side Of The Story
Well, it is true that everybody already knows her side of the story, but after Baldoni filed a lawsuit against her, she isn’t staying quiet either. Like, in March 2025, we saw her file a motion to dismiss this lawsuit, and this is what is being referred to as the Blake Lively Dismiss Lawsuit in the headlines.
She says that this is just Baldoni’s way of getting away with all this backlash that he is getting, but her team also says that this lawsuit that Baldoni has brought up actually doesn’t make any legal sense. And her legal team says that Justin Baldoni actually filed this lawsuit way too late, so it has no legal standing.
