You must have heard of that legal fight going on between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, but now it is being called the Blake Lively Amended Lawsuit, are you aware of that? Well, yes, this has been going on for quite a while. Blake and Justin used to work together during the shoot of the movie “It Ends With Us.” And during that time, Blake actually accused Justin of sexually harassing her, and that is why she decided to speak up and file the lawsuit against him.
Sure, in return, we saw Justin Baldoni sue Blake Lively, too, saying that this is all just lies and she is trying to ruin his reputation to gain control over the movie. People thought that was just it and there would be no more lawsuits because both parties had already filed their each. But nah! Blake Lively actually went ahead and filed an even stronger lawsuit, saying that other women on the movie set felt unsafe too because of Justin Baldoni. And this is precisely what we’re referring to as the Blake Lively Amended Lawsuit. So, let’s get to the details of this one.
How It All Blew Up?
Oh, first of all, we saw Blake Lively file an official complaint against Justin Baldoni and some of his team in the California Civil Rights Department, and that was back in December 2024. She said that while working with him, it was very uncomfortable and she felt kinda unsafe. And within this complaint, she specifically mentioned that once she tried to speak up, they even tried to ruin her reputation.
Baldoni Fires Back With His Own Lawsuit
Sure enough, once Justin Baldoni found out about this complaint and lawsuit filed by Blake Lively, he actually responded with his own lawsuit. Not just against Blake Lively, though, he is suing her husband, and the New York Times as well. The reason why he sued the New York Times for a whopping $250 million, is that they have released an interview with Blake Lively, and according to Justin Baldoni, they tried to frame him as a predator of some kind, which is why he is mad about it all and filed a lawsuit against these parties.
He is saying that they’re doing this just to take control of the movie, and it was Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, who used their Hollywood connections to push Justin Baldoni out.
Blake Adds Even More in Her Amended Lawsuit
And now, about the Blake Lively Amended Lawsuit that she brought up recently. You see, this is just a stronger version of the previous lawsuit or original complaint she filed. In this new lawsuit, she has included more evidence and went on to say that there were other women on the movie set too who felt unsafe and uncomfortable around Justin Baldoni.
And when all of this was going on, a judge, Lewis Liman, stepped in and said that enough is enough. He said that both parties must stop the public fight and push the matter in the media. So now, the actual trial of this case is set for March 9, 2026, and until then, there must not be any public drama by both parties. Much like the Allstate Location Data Lawsuit, which raised concerns about transparency and accountability from major corporations, the Blake Lively case underscores how legal systems are increasingly being used to confront powerful figures and institutions.
