When Did All This Start Blowing Up?

See, these complaints that are rising or piling up against Action Plumbing aren’t just starting to show up suddenly, as per the details of this Action Plumbing Utah Lawsuit, this has been going on for quite a while now, like, at least 5 years or so.

It was just in January 2025 that everyone came to know about the wrongdoings of this company, and that’s why we’re seeing this lawsuit in action against them.

Who’s Involved in This Mess?

As we already gave it away, it is actually the Connectionz Acquisition, LLC behind the Action Plumbing company, and as per the details of this case, they had about 120 workers working for them, but the thing is, only five of them were fully licensed as the professionals to do the fixes.

And right now, as of 2025, the people going after them are Utah’s Division of Consumer Protection and Division of Professional Licensing, with help from the Utah Attorney General’s Office. Just saying!

Here’s What They’re Accused Of Doing

First things first, the Action Plumbing company was purposely targeting elderly people with a lot of memory issues or anything like that. Like, in one example, we saw that one elderly woman was handed a bill of $56,000 for some electrical work in her house. But the crazy part is that she could have it done by another worker or company for just $1,580 or so.

Other than that, the company was using scare tactics like making people fear for their safety because of some issue in their house that needs to be fixed immediately. For example, in one case, the company told one customer that their house has some fire hazards or a carbon monoxide leak, which can be deadly. So thinking that it is important, the customers went with this very company to fix these issues, and sure enough, once again, Action Plumbing handed them a hefty bill.

There is one other case where they charge a whopping $11,000 just to replace an air conditioning unit, but the customer could have it replaced by just paying $50 to some other worker.

The craziest of all is that they were even threatening the customers who were picking up on their shady practices, but once they tried to cancel the services, they were being overcharged for the cancellation, like 25% more. Just like in the Pokémon Company Pocket Monster Remake Lawsuit, where a game developer faced legal trouble for unethical copying, Action Plumbing is now under fire for exploiting vulnerable consumers through deceptive practices.
