An Alabama woman who alleged Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter assaulted her when she was only 13 filed a defamation case against him on Monday; the legal lawsuit has since been withdrawn. As per the Carter lawsuit, the woman, named Jane Doe, planned her idea “to inflict maximum pain and suffering on Mr. Carter” to demand cash from him. The case had also specified the woman’s lawyers, David Fortney and Tony Buzbee, who Jay-Z said “were very attracted by greed, in abject disregard of the truth and the atmost fundamental precepts of human decency.”
She initially alleged that at a party after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, Jay-Z along with Sean “Diddy” Combs alternated raping her when she was just thirteen years old. It was refuted by both guys. Following Carter’s questions about the reality of her story and his lawyer’s request for sanctions against Buzbee, Jane Doe retracted her case last month.
Right now, Doe has freely acknowledged to Mr. Carter’s counsel that the story broadcast on worldwide television and in court was, in fact, an untrue and false statement. She had declared that she was not assaulted by Mr. Carter and that Buzbee was the one who had advised her to lie about the story of Mr. Carter’s assault to get the largest possible payout, according to Carter’s lawsuit. “But the extortion and abuse of Mr. Carter by Doe and her teammates must not go on,” it continued.
Shawn Carter’s detectives have been harassing, threatening, and harassing this poor woman for weeks in an attempt to scare her into changing her narrative, Buzbee responded in a statement. According to Jay-Z’s defamation lawsuit, Mr. Buzbee’s company neglected to investigate the allegations and the woman, who allegedly has a history of mental health problems and an assault charge.
